Each of our ThinkTanks produces two futures studies over a period of 12 months. That is a total of 8 futures studies per year, the contents of which are available to our partner companies in advance. Before we publish the results of our research, we bring together corporate leaders in the DACH region with like-minded people and experts. In these strategy sessions, the participants reflect, evaluate, select and work on real challenges in order to return to their companies with viable solutions. At these sessions, international guest speakers provide impulses for possible starting points.
As new technologies such as AI, robotics, and automation permeate deeper into our society and work, the needs for new skills and knowledge is placing more pressure on traditional education systems. The current structure of education early in life and work until retirement is no longer sufficient to address the constantly changing knowledge and skill requirements.
As traditional education structures no longer provide employers with enough confidence that by having a degree means a candidate is qualified for the role, HR departments will need to look at new ways of identifying qualified employees. Some of the main areas that the study will focus on are: the impact on traditional education structures, the systematic and proactive role of companies to reskill and allow for flexible education during employment, and how this impacts hiring practices and long-term relationship with employees.
